Extra Item: 8 rolls of toilet paper
Family Gear Box: Include some of the seasonings and spices that your family likes.
Family Preparedness: Check with your children’s babysitter of school about their disaster plans and how parents will be contacted if a disaster happens during business hours.
Spiritual Preparedness: Read “Discipleship” by President James E. Faust, November 2006 Ensign, page 20. One of the greatest blessings of life and eternity is to be counted as one of the devoted disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. How are you doing?
Week 34 (for two people)
Food Storage: 30 lb wheat or flour
Extra Item: 30 lb of beans
Family Gear Box: A multi-tool and a basic tool kit.
Family Preparedness: Practice a drill for each of your evacuation plans. Identify a storage area for your supplies, such as a closet along an inside wall or several heavy duty watertight garbage cans that can be stored outside. If using outside storage, ensure that containers are weather and animal proof.
Spiritual Preparedness: Read Revelations 3:20. Resolve to do your part to involve Christ in your life.

Week 33 (for two people)
Food Storage: 6 lb of jam
Extra Item: 20 lb of oats
Family Gear Box: A hammer and a variety of nails. A saw for cutting wood and another saw for cutting metal.
Family Preparedness: Identify escape routes from house for all family members and identify safe places to go in case of fire, flood, earthquake, or other disaster.
Spiritual Preparedness: Mark your favorite scripture and share it with your family.
Week 32 (for two people)
Food Storage: 8 cans of vegetables
Extra Item: 30 lb of rice
Family Gear Box: lantern flashlight, flashlight, and batteries (AAA, AA, D)
Family Preparedness: Review your family disaster plan including where to meet if separated. Decide on and notify an out-of-area contact that can coordinate information for scattered family members. Discuss with your family the name and number of your out-of-area contact, and kinds of information to give that contact in an emergency.

Family Preparedness: Review your insurance coverage with your insurance agent to be sure you are covered for whatever disasters may occur in your area.
Spiritual Preparedness: Read “Righteous Traditions” by Cheryl C. Lant, Ensign May 2008, p. 13.
